Meet the Xiaomi M365 Scooter
Although the product name of the Xiaomi M365 Scooter might suggest otherwise, we're talking about a scooter here. But don't confuse this scooter with a kids' model! That's because the Xiaomi M365 Scooter is a scooter fitted with a powerful electric motor. After kicking off once or twice, you press the throttle and the electric motor kicks in. This electric motor takes you to your destination effortlessly. Where will you ride to on this Xiaomi M365 Scooter?
The powerful motor isn't the only reason to buy this unique product. That's because the model weighs just 12.2 kilograms. This makes it possible to take the scooter along on public transport too. Compare it to a simple folding bike, but even more compact!
Fast and safe to your destination
The Xiaomi M365 Scooter reaches a surprisingly high speed of 25 kilometres per hour. You can compare this speed to that of the average racing cyclist. On the left side of the handlebar there's a lever for operating the disc brake on the rear wheel, with a maximum braking distance of just 4 metres! On the right you'll find a lever to accelerate. Using the disc brake is often unnecessary, since the scooter quickly comes to a stop by itself when you release the throttle. The 8.5 centimetre tyres make it easy to ride down and up low kerbs.
With the battery of this Xiaomi M365 Scooter you can cover a distance of about 30 kilometres. If you ride at the maximum speed of 25 kilometres per hour throughout your entire trip, the range will be slightly lower. Charging the scooter takes 5.5 hours.
Other handy features: the M365 has integrated powerful front and rear lights (including a brake light) and also comes with an app, which lets you easily check and adjust the battery status and settings. On top of that, the app also shows statistics such as your speed, distance and time.
techpunt.nl sells the official European Version of this model. This means it's the latest version and comes with the extras: a Dutch power adapter, a pair of spare tyres and an English manual.
At the moment, the regulations for use on public roads in the Netherlands are still incomplete, while in Belgium use is fully permitted. We advise everyone to read up on the rules themselves.
