At the end of 2016, Xiaomi announced this successor to the hugely popular 10000mAh Powerbank. The newest powerbank now also features QuickCharge, so both your phone and the powerbank charge faster. The design has been improved too, making the whole thing just 130mm long, 71mm wide and 14.1mm thick!
Battery
Of course, Xiaomi once again used high-quality lithium polymer batteries. These are now equipped with Qualcomm QuickCharge 2.0. Thanks to the 2.4A output, it's a powerful Powerbank and your smartphone or tablet is charged in no time, much faster than your own chargers. The powerbank itself now also charges faster with that same QuickCharge, so the external battery is fully charged within 3.5 hours instead of the conventional 6 to 7 hours. The external battery is also great for charging smaller devices that draw less power. That means you can charge your Mi Bands, LED lights and bluetooth headsets with it perfectly. To do this, just press the power button twice to activate low-voltage mode.
The power bank features the original chipset and certifications from Texas Instruments, which prevents short circuits and overvoltage.
Design
Xiaomi's newest Powerbank is made of aluminium and available in black and silver. The whole design has been slimmed down considerably, reducing the dimensions to 130*71*14.1mm. This makes the 10000mAh 2 a full 41% slimmer than the regular 10000mAh version! As a result, the weight has dropped to a mere 0.250kg.
