A powerful drone with a brushless motor, stunning video footage, ultimate agility and real results in real time. That's what the Syma W5 brings you. This smart device responds to the instructions you give via the remote control, while your display (smartphone) shows you exactly where your drone is hovering.
The device folds up to save space and features four propellers that can spin in two directions. You charge the drone's built-in battery (7.5V/1700mAh) using the included USB cable. This takes about three hours, after which you can use it for up to half an hour. The remote control operates on the 2.4GHz frequency and has a charging time of about an hour.
Smart drone with various modes
Use the W5 indoors to capture footage of your home, or head out into the wider world. Outdoors you can use GPS mode, which lets it fly up to 120 metres high and cover distances of up to 500 metres. This way you can precisely map, or rather capture, an entire area on camera. The drone offers various handy modes, including Surround Fly. With this, the device keeps circling around you as the pilot and the remote control. For indoor use, Optical Flow Positioning is ideal.
Easy to operate
Install the Syma Air app on your smartphone, clip it into the remote control and off you go. You control the drone like an expert via your phone. Of course, you also use the two joysticks on the remote control. It also features various handy buttons, including ones for calibrating the compass, quickly starting the flight or recalling your drone. On top you'll find buttons for controlling the camera (4K 5G). Choose photo or video and move the lens up or down, by up to 90°. The W5 measures 30 x 26.5 x 6.5 centimetres. It automatically flies back to its starting position if the signal is interrupted, the battery runs out or you press the shortcut button.
