Xiaomi hasn't turned everything upside down thrown out, but improved what really matters does: the screen, the heart rate measurement and the sleep analysis. The battery? It still lasts up to three weeks.
Clearly readable, even in bright sunlight
The 1.74-inch AMOLED screen reaches a brightness up to 2000 nits, almost double that of the previous generation. In practice this means: you read your pace easily during a run running on a sunny afternoon, without holding your hand above the screen. The resolution of 480 x 336 pixels makes numbers and graphs sharp, the curved 2.5D glass wipes nicely, and with with always-on you see the time without your wrist to turn.
Measurements you can actually use
The heart rate sensor is completely redesigned and works with two light sources and two sensors. According to Xiaomi, this delivers a accuracy of up to 98.2%, precisely during interval training, where many trackers get it wrong. Your blood oxygen is measured and even runs underwater while swimming the heart rate measurement simply continues.
The most interesting improvement is maybe even during the night. Besides the usual sleep phases, which the updated algorithm a lot more precise records, the band now also measures your heart rate variability (HRV) while you sleep. Sounds technical, but it comes down to this: in the morning you see whether your body has recovered, or whether you better take a day off after an intense workout puts off.
Phone at home? No problem.
De Band 10 Pro has its own satellite reception via five systems (GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, Galileo and QZSS). Your running, walking and so cycling routes are recorded too when your phone is on the kitchen table. Do you cycle with a bike computer? Via Bluetooth sends the band your heart rate straight there. In total there are over 150 sports modes, from swimming laps to mountain hiking.
Charging is the exception
With light use the 350 mAh battery keeps it stays full for up to 21 days. If you use a lot of GPS and sleep tracking, that becomes shorter, but even then you'll only reach for the magnetic charger at most a couple of times a month. And then it's charged up again in no time. full.
Thin enough to forget
At 9.7 mm and 21.6 grams, this is the slimmest Pro band so far. You can barely notice it, not even at night. Handy when it's exactly then that your has to measure your sleep. Pairinggoes via Bluetooth 5.4 with both platforms. Handy detail: you can notifications from two phones at once receive, for example your work and personal phone. The band syncs with Apple Health too, controls your music and serves as a remote control for your phone camera.
