The Xiaomi Fimi X8 Mini is an excellent drone with a range of interesting features. The Xiaomi X8 Mini offers several handy flight modes that even the DJI Mini series doesn't have. For instance, the X8 Mini has a very convenient follow-me mode. On top of that, the Fimi X8 Mini also offers flight planning, return to home, timelapse, night mode, digital zoom, panorama and the ability to live stream from the app.
The Xiaomi Fimi X8 Mini has an exceptionally long range of 8000 meters thanks to a brand-new 5.8 Ghz TDMA transmission system. This system uses GPS, GLONASS and BEIDOU technology, which ensures more stable transmissions and optimized sensitivity. The drone offers a whopping 30 minutes of non-stop flight time on a full battery. And with the USB Type-C fast-charging feature, the device is charged again in no time and ready to use.
Extremely stable
The Xiaomi Fimi X8 Mini features a Sony 1/2.6 ″ CMOS sensor to capture incredibly vivid 4K footage (3840x2160p) at 30 frames per second. The 80-degree lens offers a wide viewing angle so the entire landscape is captured effortlessly. With the special AI Night Mode, you'll take fantastic photos and videos even in the dark! Thanks to the built-in 3-axis Gimbal, the drone delivers very stable footage. The maximum bitrate is 100 Mbps. Videos are recorded in the H.265/HEVC codec, with support for F-log and DNG image formats. Photos are 12MP in JPG or DNG.
Because the Xiaomi Fimi X8 Mini offers level 5 wind resistance, the drone always stays stable in the air. The X8 Mini is easy to operate using the included remote control, but you can also control the drone via your smartphone. Through the app, you can also receive low-battery warnings, power warnings, wind warnings and no-fly-zone warnings.
The X8 Mini comes in a Standard version (258 grams) or Pro version (245 grams). Of course, the drone is foldable down to 15 by 9 centimeters, making it super easy to take along. Unfolded, the drone measures 20 by 15 centimeters, so it's still very compact! The maximum flight speed of the X8 Mini is 16 meters per second (almost 60 km/h).
